The rising number of complex working conditions-urban demolition, deep foundation pit construction, and port dredging-is driving excavators to extend their reach.
The standard excavator arm operating radius is limited, making it difficult for equipment to reach the working point in high-rise demolition and ultra-deep foundation pit excavation. By extending the boom, the long excavator arm greatly increases working radius, excavation depth, and demolition height. The two-section long arm is often used for river dredging and foundation pit excavation, while the three-section extended arm mainly handles high-altitude demolition, dismantling high-rise buildings layer by layer at a safe distance to reduce the risk of collapse operations.

In product design, the new extended excavator arm fully considers overall weight distribution, optimizes arm-body weight balance, and avoids any decrease in stability during long-arm operation. The arm body is made of high-strength wear-resistant plate, with non-destructive testing on key welds. The hydraulic pipeline is re-planned and arranged to reduce bending wear and improve service life under harsh working conditions. It also supports the adaptation of mainstream excavators from multiple brands, preserving original host performance during modification to lower customer modification costs.
Beyond the domestic market, overseas orders for customized extension arms continue to rise, with large quantities of domestically produced accessories purchased for Middle East land reclamation, Southeast Asian urban renovation, and African water conservancy projects. Overseas customers value not only product prices, but also arm durability, universal parts, and after-sales response speed.
Industry experts in construction machinery state that the extended arm is a special type of accessory, not simply a lengthened arm tube. It requires complete mechanical calculation based on main engine tonnage and working conditions; blind modification can bring safety hazards. In the future, the industry will move toward standardized customization and modular disassembly, further shortening delivery cycles, improving product reliability, and supporting the efficient promotion of various special engineering projects at home and abroad
