Bulldozer Half Shaft

Bulldozer Half Shaft

This is the 154-27-12313 final drive half shaft dedicated to the Komatsu D85 series bulldozer. It is a key load-bearing component that connects the final drive gear and the drive wheel, responsible for transmitting engine power, driving track operation, and bearing the huge torque and impact load during bulldozer operation, ensuring stable power output of the walking system.

Description

We use 42CrMo alloy steel to make this Bulldozer Half Shaft, meeting Komatsu's original material standards. The whole shaft is quenched and tempered, with Brinell hardness HB 260-300. This improves toughness, so it can handle sudden torque changes during work.

The journals are high-frequency quenched to HRC 52-58, with a 2–4 mm hardened layer, ensuring good wear resistance for long use. Precision machining keeps coaxiality under 0.03 mm. The flange and non-working surfaces are coated with anti-rust paint to resist corrosion on construction sites.

This Bulldozer Half Shaft is a key part of the final drive system. It fits Komatsu D85 dozers, including D85A-12, D85A-18 and D85ESS-2. It is widely used in mines, quarries and large earthwork projects.

It works well under continuous heavy loads and frequent impacts from rough rocky ground. It also performs stably in dusty, muddy conditions with changing temperatures, even during 24/7 operation.

Quality Assurance

Our workshop follows ISO 9001 standards. All parts are made strictly according to original dimensions and specs. Before shipping, we fully check dimensions, surface finish and mechanical properties to make sure this Bulldozer Half Shaft fits and works perfectly on your machine.

Installation Tips

Before installation, clean the axle shaft, hub and final drive housing thoroughly. Remove dirt, old grease and metal debris. Check splines, journals and flange holes for proper fit - do not force parts together.

Tighten flange bolts with a torque wrench as per factory specs. Wrong torque can cause deformation or loose connections. Lubricate splines, journals and seals with recommended final drive oil.

We suggest replacing worn seals and bearings together with the half shaft to prevent oil leaks and damage to other parts. After installation, run the dozer at low speed to check for noise, vibration or leaks. Retighten flange bolts after the first 50 working hours.
